"Back in 2009 he set European age-12 bests for the indoor 60m (7.22) and 200m (23.33), and one year later he smashed the British under-15 records in both events with times of 7.05 and 22.19. That summer, in just his second ever race over 400m, he produced the second-fastest time ever by a British under-15 athlete with a time of 49.0. He also won all 30 races he contested in 2010." http://www.jonmulkeen.com/blog/athl...rack-and-field-athletes-lost-to-other-sports/
Let's hope so. I for one am looking forward to finding out. That's if Big Jean doesn't get fed up and go old school and straight-arm him in training. (Before anyone jumps down my throat I like Big Jean but he can look a bit vulnerable to pace at times).
Apparently, he scored a hat-trick in eighteen minutes for Chelsea academy side, having come on as sub. No pressure, but just one of those would do for starters against Yeovil.
but what are his soccer skills like no good being fast if he has no real skills. We had Fola Onabuje, he was a fast runner too and did race so I believe.... but his soccer skills were not that good.
Re: but what are his soccer skills like I know you used Onibuje as an example but at least we know that he'll be better than him seeing as Chelsea have seen something in him. I expect him to be very similar to Devante Cole. Lots and lots of pace to burn but a raw talent that will need nurturing. We've had some pacey players over the years that have heen quite bad with the ball. I remember Danny Haynes' first touch being terrible and bouncing off him but then he always had the pace to still get to the ball before the defender.
