Just been reading on Rob Staton's twitter that he understands Barnsley made enquiry's about Alex Revell in the summer.Would he get the seal of approval from this board if he turns out to be the experienced target man we're after?

Yeah no need for a 5th striker. No point bringing in a target man just to say we have one, when the four we already have are doing a good enough job.
If Devante Cole's loan period isn't renewed in January, it may be that Revell could be signed as a replacement, although obviously it wouldn't be like-for-like with regards to style of play.
His goalscoring record was a typical target mans contribution at Rotherham but was astonished to see what he did at Leyton Orient. Scored 22 goals in one season which is remarkable and that would have been the level were at now. He also chipped in with a fair few goals at his loan spell at Wycombe and earlier on in his career with Braintree.
Would certainly do a job for us. I just don't think we need a striker. If we were to lose one or two to injury, that would be different. I get the feeling Danny doesn't want to be left without bodies like he was last season, at one stage our only fit and available senior striker was Chris O'Grady.
Rotherham have seven strikers on the books , so you never know . Hard to keep them all happy and to give them game time
