Don't know what Otterham means but I do know in the modern game the full back tucks in when they attack down the other side. The tactic being if play is switched there is time for the winger, midfield and full back to drop and cover. We could always try man marking every position and start a new modern style of course.

Yes I agree with this. I think he needs to get to the ball quicker giving him more time to decide and play out. I think he strolls to the ball and allows himself to be put under pressure.
I'd prefer Roberts to play but I do think he's been better since the captaincy was taken off him. Stupid decision from Johnson to give such an inexperienced player the armband.
