Best games I've seen him in a Barnsley shirt have both been against Millwall. Didn't put a foot wrong yesterday barring the little mis-communication with Davies. Well done Alfie.

Hopefully he will develop with experience alongside. Didn't seem to be happening with Nyatanga.

Nyatanga has been the main issue in that defence all season. I don't know what happened to the promising 18 year old we had on loan all those years ago.

Maybe he feels more confident at the side of some one less prone to mistakes. Which probably goes for the whole team. Not trusting the CB partnership has a huge effect on everyone and causes nervousness throughout

Wabara on the Otterham. Another full back who gets drawn into the centre and won't mark his man

Don't know what Otterham means but I do know in the modern game the full back tucks in when they attack down the other side. The tactic being if play is switched there is time for the winger, midfield and full back to drop and cover. We could always try man marking every position and start a new modern style of course.

He wasn't bad but he needs to improve his distribution, the main thing that lets him down, especially when under pressure, tends to give it away a lot.

Really ? Looked like he was towing a caravan in 2nd half when running with Millwall forward

Yes I agree with this. I think he needs to get to the ball quicker giving him more time to decide and play out. I think he strolls to the ball and allows himself to be put under pressure.

I'd prefer Roberts to play but I do think he's been better since the captaincy was taken off him.

Stupid decision from Johnson to give such an inexperienced player the armband.

Considering we didn't have a player considered old. We didn't really have much choice who to give the armband to.

Should have been Hourihane from the start, he was captain at Plymouth.

Looking a lot better since he was stripped of the captaincy.

Didn't need that at is age.
