Aliadiere, 24, was sent off in the 85th minute for slapping the face of Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano.

A Football Association regulatory commission rejected the appeal and he will now serve a three match ban.

EX-Arsenal striker Aliadiere has also received an extra one game ban as the appeal was considered frivolous.

The sooner players listen to the rules, the better.

You CANNOT raise your hand. Whether it is a punch or a minor slap ....................... just don't f**king do it ! !

Now if the FA can find it within themselves to chase down Aaron Lennon for his foul-mouthed tirade at the ref on Sunday, then maybe my young 'un will realise that if you swear like that, you get punished to the same degree. He wouldn't think it is cool then.

Why hasn't Mascherano been banned aswell then? He raised his hand as well.

Face pinching is allowed, but slapping is definitely out of order. Or summat.

I did say last night that he'd end up with a further game ban

Was never going to get overturned.
