Just written a press release about some of my research - which shows that genes from American Gooseberries are set contaminate our native gooseberry populations with possable serious ecological effects. Its a daft story that just might have legs - or it might disappear without trace. Watch this space - you heard it here first - but who gives?
Radio 4's today programme are interested - so it may make the news sometime next week. Funny old world eh
Been called a few things in my time but I dont think Ihave ever been called a alien, been called Alan does that count?
Whats so bad about these American gooseberries? Are they woefully inadequate in terms of foreign policy? Do they drive enormous and vastly inefficient trucks? Are they too fat?
No taste - thick skins and spineless Ok I lied about the spines. Plus our native invertebrates dont thrive on them so well.
RE: No taste - thick skins and spineless >native invertebrates Now they are spineless, never trust one to be on your side in a fight, very much like the Yanks.
