Because the 4 top saves he made, including the two one-on-ones, kept the score down.

Edwards was atrocious and at fault for at least two of the goals, Butterfield just as bad, although he remains immune from criticism. How many times did he tackle himself? Addison and Doyle anonymous, Perkins wasn't too bad in the first half, but then had a poor second. He's alright until the ball comes to his feet. Wiseman didn't seem to be able to read the game. McEveley was poor, but at least he was better than Saturday. Haynes didn't look interested again. O'Brien ran around a lot, but had a couple of mad rushes of blood to his head just before getting subbed. Foster wasn't that bad, although compared to how Edwards played nobody would look as bad. RNL looked his age when he came on and Done...well, he just doesn't look a footballer full stop. At least Davies showed us what he can do when he came on and gave us some hope. And how Steele wasn't man of the match is beyond me. I think the sponsors must have been compensating for the stick that McEveley has been getting.

It really is poor at the moment and, looking at the next few fixtures, could get a whole lot worse before it gets better.

It seems the 'Keith Hill' brand of entertaining football, as endorsed by 'Keith Hill', involves passing it around the back four, occasionally knocking it forward to a midfielder in trouble, who will pass it back to the defender that started the move, who will then either lump it forward or pass it back to the keeper to lump it forward. Even when the opposition suss us out and put pressure on the defenders as soon as we start our free flowing sideways (and occasionally backwards) total football, we'll continue to do the same, but with the added excitement of our defenders getting caught in possession and our full backs panicking and knocking it into the stands. Glad to see that 'Keith Hill' has decided to retain the inability to deal with crosses and set plays that all our previous managers have adhered to though.

Our leading scorer last season was a midfielder who spent half the season playing for Wolves. Our leading scorer this season is a defender who has spent all the season playing for Middlesborough. On the showings so far he may have the chance to stretch his lead in the return fixture.
