I would hope Reds fans will stick with the team if the Reds go down.

Just looked at the stats so far and Wolves are averaging 1600ish less than last season.

Sheffield united, there last season in the champ and there first in league one was about 10% different.

Didn't Norwich avg a load along with southampton.

So far this season Barnsley avg, 11500ish with a few big matches to go.

If we can keep it to 11500 that would be okay.
so we get the dip clubs normally take, 1500/2000 then 9500 in league one should allow us to fight and compete. When you think that would leave barnsley sixth on this years totals so far and fourth on the year before totals.

Not a chance averaging around the 10,000 mark i'm afraid UNLESS we are challenging for automatic promotion. We would average around 7,000 to 8,000 in league one and that at a push.

I think our time in league one we averaged around 10k per season.

I believe the away followings are significantly smaller on average in League one and some undoubtedly wouldn't renew. Hopefully next seasons season ticket pricing will persuade most fans to stay on for a promotion push in league one or the championship ;-)

As someone said earlier, the season tickets might dip a little bit, but it all really depends on the away following. If you work out which teams are most likely to be in L1 next season and then look up their average away following on the thread Fired posted earlier, you'll get a feel for what our average home attendance will be.

*I might buy a season ticket next season, and pay on the day.

    Uber supporter.

    *I might not

And people are getting pissed of that some of the players have given up, maybe they have taken a leaf out of teh supporters book. Most have been talking about league one for the last 3 months!!!!

True but we've hardly seen anything to suggest a fightback in that time

The away followings are tiny in comparison. How much do we spend on policing and stewarding? A massive cost cut from the budget right there surely?

That might have something to do with being in the relegation spots for the last 3 months!!

Don't worry Phil there won't be a significant drop in home fans next season. There will only be a big drop in away fans coming to Oakwell.

Thing is. If you listen to the crowds when given out no matter who we play we seem to average 9k home fans. The rest are away fans.

Dropping to league one you can assume the away gates will drop drastically. Home fans. If we take 10 percent as you say. We would drop just above 8k.

Meaning we are likely to average 8.5k next season.

Not a brilliant way of doing figures but that can't be far out.

Close the North Stand? It's not like we'll need it apart from bradford, blunts and rotherham ( if they are still in league 1)

I think the fans have, in the main, at matches, been doing their best.... the players however........

i don't know about uber supporter. It suggests forgetful supporter to me.

I actually know a bloke who buys a season ticket each year, but lives down south. One season, due to work commitments, renovating house, etc, he only actually made two home games all season...but forgot his season ticket for one of them so had to pay on the gate!
