not yet he aint He has addressed the shortfall in staff , Yes. But as to how effective that is we will see over the next couple of games or so. What he has done once again is bought himself time.He now has the excuse of getting the 3 newbies plus Boggy to gel in.Meanwhile time and games march on.
i can remember sir alex taking over at man u took em down i believe, the comparison might be a bit contentious but give him time you never know.I glad patrick cryne holding the reigns and not some people that post on here!
Not in my fecking eyes he ain't. Last year I hoped the "big signings" would help us move forward. They haven't.
This year he tinkered all summer and we hav'nt moved forward. In fact we fannied about all deadline and signed three at the last mo. I really hope, as I did last year, that these three signings move us forward (they look good on the face of it) but lets all keep it real and remember they are now going to be coached by a numpty. 3 DD signings doesn't suddenly make him tactically aware or adept in his role.
If we do move forward ..... I'll hold my hands up. But I won't hold my breath.

Didn't say that ,Now Did I. I want us to finish the season promoted, then you wake up. No seriously I had hoped for a finish in the middle 8 of the league,so between 9 to 16. anywhere in that zone would be progress. I am,however, fed up up of being strugglers this last three seasons..thats certainly not progress. Its no secret that I do not rate "The Welsh Chap" but it seems Patrick does and so we are stuck with him.We can only hope that he suddenly begins to understand the word TacTics, and to realise what a players BEST position is.Maybe even how to sense when a substitution could make some effect too.
Tbh mate i agree with some of your comments. Our position is disappointing and i don't think we have progressed under Davey. However these 3 players do give him some more time to try and get us out of this relegation fight we are now in.
RE: Not in my fecking eyes he ain't. Give a joiner a new plane, saw, drill, hoping his joinery skills will improve. If they don't then its the joiner and not the tools. My guess is the influx of good players will make a short term improvement, but once Davey gets them playing 'his way' we will be back to square one and relegation prospects.
Daveys not God, but i think hes worth the respect he deserves ok bad janurary but we had good x mas period, preston and burnley good results beating watford good result . if we are in bottom 3 come end of season then yes he should go like most managers do. but like leeds up the rooad changing managers every 6 months no good to no one. Davey can start appeasing himself with a victory tonite to head us in the right direction and give us the bragging rights over the fowls. then we need stability in the team not switching and changing we dont get any rythym doing that. i am more than happy to finish in bottom half as long as not in slog for bottom 3 places this year with victories over both the dee dah teams. i know we should be aiming higher as did patrick cryne say beggining of season but its a hard season this year with quite a few teams struggling in bottom half. i wonder what bernie ecclestone and is formula 1 cronie are thinking about there manager with the resourses they have.
Surely if we are in the bottom 3 at the end of the season Its far too late???
This squad is far too good to be in the bottom 3 and the only thing that will take us down is the man at the healm. I hope these signinng work...
Cos if they don't we are fooked.

Definetly not god If he thinks JCR is at his best in the middle of the park then the man should not be managing barnsley football club regardless of who he has loaned in because he clearly doesnt know the strengths of his own players
