According to a drunken bloke sat near me.

Now I know some people never miss and fairplay to them but surely it was better last night with 900 fans turning up and getting behind the lads regardless of wether theyd paid or not.

For me, last night wasnt a good performance but the night was made by the great support especially for a Friday night as well as getting the right result.

    Some folks mentalities baffle me........

But what about those that normally go on the club's coaches?

People complain about not enough fans turning up.

Fans turn up and people have a go at them for being part-timers!

Im a part timer because I only go to around ten aways a season but I drove down so would that make me a slightly better part timer by their reckoning lol

This "part timer" stuff gets on my tits especially when it comes from the mouths of grown men that should have more sense.

I'm a part timer now then.

If Hoyland Reds would have put a coach on I would have gone with them but they didnt.

The Fans that went on the coaches that payed had the privilege of spending all the afternoon in the pubs in send ,good on em ,the backbone of our support..The ones including me who went on the free busses were also fans who got behind the team .we ARE ALL in it together . at this moment in time,or any time we dont need to alienate fans .we can see that by reduced gates . not everybody can afford to attend all matches ,at one stage finances were not always there for me to attend every home game . encourage those who come now and again and make them welcome.we are all BARNSLEY FANS. if the fan sitting next to you have been for a while ,glad you came ,hope to see you for the next match is the criteria needed.and those who went to spend on Friday made it an atmosphere the players much appreciated and apparently heard on the BBC commentary ,very LOUDLY.

    Yes I did

But cost me £4.80 for taxi back to Stairfoot because the driver didnt drop me off at the stairfoot roundabout, where Hoyland Reds would have.

    What does that make me?

Mate its all ballax. fans shouldnt be called by their fellow fans because of how they chose to travel or because they chose their matches. We all have different priorities and torture thresholds. A good many of the lads that never miss usually turn up half cut to numb the pain of another away day defeat anyway lol

I reckon we have less than 100 true fans

If the definition is you have to go to every game home and away
Our regular away following is less than 300 and I am sure some of those miss the occasional midweek away game

I've never understood this part time stuff

    We Are All Fans

Unfair for people to be catergorised as part time or something else. Those based around Tarn who go to Plymouth next month are worth a mention though.
