It's not the dismissal of Ritchie that has relegated this club as we would have gone down if he had stayed. We are down because we appointed a new manager on the cheap again and signed a bunch of crap lower league players to keep us in the championship. And having see Spurs on Sunday, and yes I know they somehow lost I for one am glad we're not going there as they would have racked up double figures.
Yes, he would've taken us down, terrible Championship manager, the only thing negative about Ritchie's sacking is the fact the powers that be at Oakwell have replaced him with a complete footballing mong.
You don't know that and will never know. Fact is since him and holden have gone the heart has been ripped out of the side. Its there for all to see. Used to go to games and enjoy going, win lose or draw but not anymore. Every reason given for his sacking becomes more laughable by the day. The only thing that holds any credibility really in all those statements made would be the bad run of form he had towards the end of his reign. The grass ain't always greener unfortunately.
I think that's a fair summary To be fair to Mr Davey, he's got nothing to work with and there are no signs of that changing. The problem we have now is that everyone is on a downer and that just compounds everything ten-fold.
At least we had fight under Ritchie... Hull away as an example. We had a never say die attitude. The players loved him, he loved the players. Agreed, we need strengthening, and we probably would have been relegated with the current crop...but whats really changed since he left?
How can any manager make the squad stronger when we are offering peanuts and cookers as wages?

Sorry fail to see yor argument Just because the currenrt 'management' team are totally out of their depth doesnt mean that it was wrong to part company with Andy Ritchie who obviously was not blameless in the current state of afffairseither because loads of shortcomings in the squad and problems within the team were ignored for way too long. The problem now is with the current appointee and the ludicrous reasons given for appointing him even more worrying is that he seems in a permanent state of denial that his bemusing (to say the least) selections and tactics are wrong.
