All these signings slightly worry me - shades of Spackman and Machin!

    Mad Me's "new team" - August 91 - take on Plymouth at Plymouth - three nil down very quickly. The team hardly knew each other - Butler, Graham etc ALSO Spackaman at Bradford - Donovan debut - say no more - we got spanked.

    Hope Davy is a genius and not just good on ChampionshipManagaer

    at least weve signed a good few of them before pre season starts so they can get to know eachother in training and the tour and frendlies then hopefully they should be allright

    That's why SD's aiming to get them all in asap so that they have a full pre-season together.

    People said things have been quiet since May, but pretty clear GS & SD have worked hard to pull these out of the bag.

    Seems to me as if he is building a team for 'better things'.</p>

    I just wonder why we have so much money to splash around. I thought we were skint. Whats Davey done to deserve all this money spending on the team when AR couldn't have any? (wicked)

    I'd be more worried if we hadn't made signings.

    im getting really excited now for the season, could all blow up on us, but im hoping for the best, these dont seem like panic buys like jan last season when we were just taking whoever we could get.

    I hope you are right Tina. </p>

    I've always supported Davey, Williams in midfield excepted, but he is surprising me with the effort and the attention to detail he is putting in to the job. </p>

    I was impressed with the way he brought Mostto over to have a look round the Club and Town before we signed him.
    How that didn't get leaked out of the Club is surprising. </p>

    I hope Davey can get a bit of luck when the season starts to go with the hard work he is putting in.</p>
