    Thing that annoys me most about all of this is...

    the apologists for Rooney who keep saying 'he's only 19'</p>

    precisely, he's 19 not 3, he should know better. A 3 yr old you could forgive for having a tantrum from time to time. </p>

    He's considered old enough to drive a car, join the army, vote, jury service [?], buy a house, enter in financial arrangements, enter in to a homosexual relationship, get married, have kids himself [God forbid] ... but not old enough it seems to control his temper, or behave in a civilised/sporting manner.</p>
