personally I don't think he would come across half as bad if somebody at the club had a quiet word and suggested he used the word WE more instead of I in his statements. Doesnt kind of fit in with the we are all in this together thing I can’t ask anymore from the players, but we just have to accept that things are going against us at the moment,” said Hill, whose side have 43 points with eight fixtures remaining. It’s very hard, but we know football can be very unforgiving and can be very harsh on you. It can be cruel. “I don’t like it. I can’t stand it, but I know I will be successful in the future. I know that 100 per cent. “Maybe this [bad run] is something I have to go through. I think every other manager who has had any longevity in the game has to go through what I’m going through. This is my fifth consecutive season and I haven’t experienced anything like this. It is a learning curve, but one I don’t like. “But I’m a fighter, I know what we’re doing and the players believe in me. We will get it right. “I’m learning a lot more than I ever thought I would do. It will galvanise me and make me better in preparation for Barnsley or my next club.”
There would still be some on here who would crucify him if he used the word us or we. If he said something like "Maybe this [bad run] is something we have to go through" the usual suspects would be up in arms claiming he was blaming the fans for the said bad run.
He's actually taking responsibility for what's happening and protecting the players by saying it's something he has to learn from.
Well heres me thinking that he was merely responding to questions that related to him and his feelings about the recent run etc.
