We all know what he did yesterday. He knows what he did. He might learn from that....or not. The thing is it is going to take a heck of a lot of effort on his part to get through the next few months in the foreign land that is South Yorkshire. I know we are probably paying him a lot of money to play football for us (well, we HOPE he will) and, according to one of the papers this morning he cost us £500,000. Quite possible that, but who knows. What I am getting at though is that calling him stupid names isn't going to help, if he reads all this stuff (or gets someone to read it for him). Why not try welcoming the lad to his new club. He is only young, and seems to be a bit hot-headed with it. That might be to our advantage, or he might be the biggest waste of money we have ever spent. If his name is a bit too long for some, or too difficult to spell, why not just called him "Manny". Just a thought...
Frimpong is obviously a good player. He needs to settle into Yorkshire hospitality and enjoy it. It must be difficult for the lad having come from Arsenal My only hope with him is if Danny and Mellon teach him how to tackle. He seems to have an old Dawson type temperament. Should be a good signing in end
I think he could become a very good player, either with us or someone else next season. Lots of 22-year olds have got bags of experience by now but, because of where he has been, he has played very few first team games. I was looking forward to seeing him against Ipswich next week but that will have to wait a while. As I said above, he is now in a foreign land and I don't expect he will care for it much compared to his old stomping ground. Maybe that paragon of good behaviour Jacob Mellis will calm him down. Oh, hang on a minute.....
The name is something and nothing. It's light hearted. For me he's been welcomed massively. We were all properly excited about the signing. If he wants to endear himself to the fans, he needs to have a good look in the mirror. He's got off to a nightmare start, and it's entirely his own doing. HE owes US now. Majorly. I'm more worried that after his 1 game suspension, he's then going to be put straight back into another derby game
When have i done that. It actually annoys me, a couple of others that annoy me. When posters say tuhu or whatever they out instead of Etuhu and when they put Dawg unstead of Dawson.
I put say the German because without looking it up i'd not get Proschwitz close without looking then Copy and pasting.
Of course you did Basil and you call Wilson the manager because it is SO hard to remember the word Danny and you call bobby a bleeping bleeeping bleepety bleep bleep because you're a ****
£500k might be his wages - someone else posted he was on £1m a year at Arsenal. Can't see us paying anyone £20k a week though. Anyway, he hasn't really signed permanently - it's just a fudge to get round the limit on loan signings. All this "settle in South Yorkshire" stuff is nonsense. He'll be off at the end of the season, no doubt about it.
I just want the lad to hold his hands up, learn from his stupidity and help us stay up. More than happy to give him a clean slate for the next match.
I'm guessing you weren't at Hillsborough. Because if you parted with £30 to endure that match largely ruined after 30 minutes by his idiotic behaviour, then you should change your name to Gandhi.
