what would people think if we actually created an atmosphere at home to get the players going? Act as a 12th man so to speak?

fair enough the players should not need it but its embrassing when you can hear coaches and players shouting on the pitch!

the atmoshpere to be honest especially at home is *****, no wonder the players don't look bothered, all we do is moan until something happens and even then it goes dead again!

clearly this tatic does not work so why not from the start we make some noise to see what effect that has?

I wonder if they talk about it, picking on certain indiviuals as people do on here? maybe they would enjoy it more if they looked forward to playing in front of a crowd that is cheering them on and not booing them off? i know we pay to be entertained but surely we have a part to play?

I certainly agree with your comments.

Whilst the atmosphere is not all that great, the crowd have been FAR more patient than in recent seasons. There have also been occasions where the crowd has really got behind them.

Despite this, I don't feel that the team have really "produced" on those occasions either.

It also doesn't explain why the team "loses the initiative" during games and is also unable to "snap out" of a bad display (as in yesterdays sorry encounter).

Give us a team of professionals that give 100% for 90 mins

    and the crowd will respond.

    We pay Them.

Its about time the players started putting the effort in.

What confuses me is that Ritchie says that:

"This Team never let their heads drop" and

"Never know when they are beaten"

He must be watching a different team to me then, that's all I can say.

see i think that is gash

at the start of every game the atmosphere should be buzzing because no one knows how were going to play so we have to do ur part to get them going as well!

if throughout the game we're showing a lack of commitment then fine the atmosphere will dye down and i can accept that, because if they don't make an effort then niether should we!

what i can't accept is from the kick off the atmosphere been non exsistant, been able to hear everyone on the pitch, including managers who are on the other side of field to me!

    tactic???

'clearly this tactic does not work so why not from the start we make some noise to see what effect that has? Hardly a tactic by the fans is it? The player's are the cause of the lack of atmosphere. They consisently produce the Jeckyll & Hyde performances.if they appear to have little confidence in themselves, then they can hardly expect other to have. I will be there tomorrow as usuall, giving praise where it's due & criticising where it's due ( not booing mindst)

Well said. In the programme notes Ritchie always says make some noise its much appreciated by everyone. Shuker said in the programme the other week that the fans can be our 12th man. Put it this way Liverpool wouldnt have won the champions league if they didnt have some of the best fans in the world.
The atmospheres quality when we are winning e.g. Scnuthorpe, Huddersfield (most notibly) but when we play bad the crowd dont get behind them. If they did we should see a response from the players.
I always get behind them and its great when theres an atmosphere, its better than winging.
    GET BEHIND THEM
