All this talk of bad defending

Whats been forgotten was Odejayes early chance when their defender slipped and he was in on goal. Had he squared the ball to unmarked Stan we may have had a different game on our hands. Ode couldnt decide wether to pass or shoot so did neither and the danger was averted.

Also Coulsons woeful attempt at contol stopped him having a tap in at Newcastle.

Its not all about defending. When chances come we have to start taking them or we are in for another season long struggle.

I know we did at Colchester, but generally if we go in front we get something, if we go behind we get nowt because we don't dare take risks to try and get back in it.

 

After that half chance and Odes cross for Stan we never looked likely. It was a case of them asking "is that all youve got?" and then bombing forward at every opportunity with no fear.

Went in front against Coventry and got thrashed and went three in front against Plymouth and nearly blew it. We need more faith in our ability when we go behind.
