Reckon you need more than 2 or 3 weeks for that trip. I went to Queenstown on the South Island last year and its an amazing place - you could spend 3 weeks there alone. It's truly the adventure capital of the world. Went skiing at 3 of the nearby &quot;ski fields&quot; including the Remarkables that were used as Mordor in Lord of the Rings (loads of the LOTR stuff was shot round that area). Went whitewater rafting and jet boating on the shotover river. The world's first bungy jump is there along with the world's highest and about a dozen other ones. Canyon swings, sky diving, mountain biking, fly by wire (fly a plane without wings around a valley whislt attached to a rope - seriously mental!) and loads more. Not to mention the stunning sceneary or night life. Seriously the place is amazing! Do it! Go!</p>
