    Does this sound like a rip-off to you?

    A female friend of mine paid £4888 for a 2nd hand Corsa...51 plate, and then paid £900 for insurance...so near enough £6,000 for it.

    Just wondering how that is seen in the car world...

    I don't know the mileage.

    It seemed a lot to me, considering I could get a new bike for £800 and insurance for it for £340, with it being 6 times as powerful as to the last bike I insured.

    Just wasn't sure if all car prices are that way inclined!!

    Talking 2nd hand, not brand new mate.

    And you'll find most bikes are kept in much better condition than cars, as it's more of a hobby than just a means of transport.

    oh sorry.and you are right about bike's better looked after an all. less to clean i suppose.
