read chronicle puts it all in perspective dunnit (and no i dont believe hes the be all and end all) but hes doing the best he can and learning his job at the same time .Where you the bees kneese in your first job.
when, as per the norm, an individual begins a new job,it's highly unlikely he/she would be in charge. Under normal circumstances one would undergo some type of apprenticeship and learn his trade through observation, direction and basic tuition from more experienced peers. It would seem however that you feel it acceptable that he is allowed to make major mistakes, ie wastefully throwing precious money down the drain because he is "just" learning. Precious money on bad purchases of players who are eventually rejected by him and monies which cannot be re-couped.Let me tell you, this club cannot afford to waste a million pouds in a season because of his ineptness. If this is the best he can do then I suggest he fooks off and quickly before he sends the club down the swannee.
He could buy Ronaldo, Torres and Gerrard but SD would still play them out of position or drop them just for farting!
don't be so slective Mr Angry reel off the remainder of his purchases and the amounts which he paid and how they were used or more to the point not used.
Absolutely It's not as black or white as you're trying to make out. Davey has made some excellent signings and also some that haven't worked out. Isn't that the case at all football clubs? Just look at some of the puddings Benitez, ferguson have signed, does that make them bad managers? We've not got the money, fan base or image to attract tried and tested Championship performers therefore we have to take gambles on lower league and foreign players. Some will work out others won't that's the risk you take. We have wasted money on the likes of Mossto but also got bargains with people like Muller and Souza. So I think it balances itself out.
But the point your missing is that he has signed these players from abroad that haven't been good enough whilst selling players that have and still could do a decent job for this club. Davey's overall transfer record is shocking and he sticks being players who are seriously not good enough whilst failing to give others the same chance and respect. You named 4 players there who are very good buys. However, he signed 14 players summer before last....... and then again bought this summer. Overall we are not getting value for money.
Selling players who could still do a decent job? No you've stumped me there? Names..... I need Names!! I'm not missing any point. I simply don't agree that Davey's transfer record is shocking. The squad we've got now is far far better than the squad he's inherited therefore how can his transfer record be shocking?
I do wish you would be more balanced in your argument. When quoting the pro's and con's it would be more fair to say 400k for Mossto, 300k for Christian, I believe 150k for Muller and Souza was a minimum price, I also understand it was about 250 for Da Silva. Overall, if these sums are correct, and I stand to be corrected, then there is almost an inbalance in favour of negetivity. To be precise however I would have to know the figures.
I was rubbish in my first job.
I could do it, I just couldn't be arsed. I was too distractedby the sexual harrassment from the typing pool.

I was extremely balanced in my argument I don't know the exact figures we've paid so I try not to speculate. What I do know however is that we've spent far less than the vast majority of Championship clubs.
I'm not suggesting that we haven't spent less. The point I'm trying to make is, the amount he has wasted in respect of our strapped cash club
