The important matters of the BFC day looked summat like this: http://web.archive.org/web/20031204092949/http://www.barnsleyfc.net/forum/config.pl
Strange how many are still relevant 10 YEARS ON. 1. What are the plans / timescales (if any) to open a Supporters' Social club at Oakwell ? 3. What proposals, if any, are there for development of the West Stand, can we get any grants to assist with this, and what timescales would we be looking at ? 4. Would it be possible to establish a BFC Museum at Oakwell - bearing in mind the success of the SUFC one at Bramall Lane ? 6. Are there any plans for pre-match activities in and around the stadium and for improvements to the half-time ones ? 7. Are there any plans to change / improve the facilities and services in and around the stands to enhance the overall match-day experience (eg. large screens, improvements to catering etc.) ? 8. What proposals do you have in mind to increase attendances at Oakwell ? 13. Are there any proposals to review the pre-match music in the Stadium along with that played when the teams take to the pitch and when the Reds score ? If so, can this be done in conjunction with the fans via say, an Internet poll ? 15. Are there any proposals to change/improve standards in the club shop eg. to ensure it doesn't run out of certain sizes of replica shirts on the opening day of the season ? The retail side should be a vital income stream to the club and fans feel this side of things isn't maximised to best effect.
some good old names on there Gally.... shame they could not all return , and get rid of some of the bairns we have now. Could we not have a Mesters part to this and keep the kiddies away from it ?
Re: some good old names on there Gally.... What like a clique? Quite a few names still post though - some with different names.
Cazi is the one I miss most from that lot that are no longer around - havent heard owt from her in years Roundsman I think was an early version Hemsy - didnt he famously argue that listening to Oakwell AM (RIP) gave a more accurate perspective on the game than being in the ground watching..
Disappointing that the original posts can't be opened. I'd quite like to know what the 24 year old me had to say about poo that garnered 9 responses. Though I was having Crohn's disease diagnosed about that time so I guess I had some pretty interesting bog habits. Would also have been about the time of NDN. Ahhh, water under the bridge...
Didn't Cazi pop by the other week? I might mis-remember this but I seem to remember Roundsman being a bit like SuperTyke is now. Don't remember him saying that about Oakwell AM, but it made me lol anyway.
Didn't a previous poster on there post as his "brother" to tell everybody he'd committed suicide? I have a vague recollection!
Those were the days... Roundsman was a little star (similar to Hemsy but not as annoying in a strange way) but got hounded off the board. Miss the likes of AirTyke, Dirk Hartog, etc.
Re: Those were the days... Dirk Hartog was a tool of the highest order! (Good job he doesn't post on here any more eh? )
