I don't think it makes any difference if I'm honest He's not good enough to even be considered anyway.
Eduardo at Arsenal is another, Croatian international but is Brazilian. Surely he can only apply for British citizenship, which will then make him eligible for all the home nations. I suppose if they have citizenship then they are eligible, so fine.

RE: England are struggling for a consistent goalie, And Almunia is the epitomy of inconsistency... though he has improved a lot in all fairness.
Its a bit like Barnsley the only way for good English players is from youth systems, and not greedy average ones in Barnsleys case.
