    I'm as concerned as anybody on here regarding incomings in key positions but what..............
    We are holding off major activity until the money comes in from the Stones & Holgate dosh?

    Optimistic but could be true. Why waste x amount of money on one player and then realise that you could have bought someone better with the money from one of these deals? I think the Forte deal was a low risk (money wise, I know he has injury problems) signing that LJ wanted to make to add a little depth to the squad. Until either the Stones/Holgate deal goes through we are very unlikely to see that 'ambitious' signing that we are all crying out for. Could be completely wrong though.

    My optomistic view is that we are 4 players away from completing the squad... If Digger and Holgate move on.

    i don't think this is the case , we have had bids accepted for players (some turned down) as has been reported and as PC said yesterday.

    Im sure if we do get a windfall there might be the odd upgrade of potential targets but due to SCMP rules we arent going to be throwing cash around.
