Hi lads not here to gloat at all, just wondered if the attached is how most people saw today's game? Always value the feedback. Good luck for the rest of the season http://www.shrewsburytown.com/news/article/town-v-barnsley-2671176.aspx
Can't fault it. Classic away performance in some respects. Direct when needed. Goals matter. Everything else is window dressing.
Seemed a well written report to me. We don't get them on our site. Good luck to the Shrews this season, to Micky especially and the ex BFC lads, especially Clicker.
Thanks Whitey. Micky was asked post match if the win was extra special because it came at a former club and this is what he said: “I wouldn’t say it was extra special because I’ve got too much respect for Barnsley Football Club to get involved in things like that. This was a club where I had some unbelievable times with and had times that you just couldn’t buy. I was thrilled to be able to come here and work in the game that I love amongst some great fans. It’s no more important to me today than it would be next Saturday.”
No problem with that report. I will disagree with the last part about Shrewsbury being a hard team to beat. A better side than us would have been 4-0 up at HT today. Some poor finishing cost us big time and both Shrews goals were very very fortunate. However, that's football. You got the rub of the green after (I feel) coming initially for a point and we were poor in the final third.
Top bloke. Spoke well in midweek of Danny Wilson too, killed a few theories. I was impressed with Keith Hill last weekend too. He told me he loved Barnsley and felt he'd been used by certain folk to deflect attention. And we've still to face Flicker. At least we beat Robins' side, twice.
