Get as many fans behind the team as possible.

It makes absolutely no difference to me or my wallet whether there are 23,000 in the stadium or 10,000.

    Some folk are never happy.

'The club show no imagination', 'don't make any offers to attracet people' etc etc, then when they do, people moan.

I'm a moaning Barsteward so some of you lot really must have nothing better to do.

    Get behind em.

    the usual suspects

    will always moan.
Club could announce free season tickets for next year and they'd moan about the fact they'd had to pay for them this year.
Cheer up, we could be Luton............................or Grimsby.

I almost agree with your post aprt from the bit above- It makes a great deal of difference to me whether there are 23000 or 10000 in the stadium. I would far rather the stadium be full

And as Don said to Markstokes see marks "independent" site, We got a discount on our cup tickets

    not only that

but if the fans can demonstrate that at £5 a ticket we can fill oakwell then the club can/should (but wont) lower match tickets and season tickets to reflect this next season in order to fill the stadium without losing money.

How much advertising are the club doing for the £5 match?

    I mis-worded that mate

Of course I'd prefer there were 23,000 there. Mistakenly contradicted myself!

    As I've said before

They could let people in for free for the last three games as far as I'm concerned. As a season ticket holder it wouldn't bother me in the slightest. In fact, I'd applaud it.

    Bit simplistic

we are averaging over 11000 at current pricing

So if we dropped the price to a fiver a game even with a completely full ground the club is substantially worse off.

Now if we could fill the ground for a tenner a game.....

Yeah of course a fiver a game on a full time basis would be too low but filling the stadium at £5 once or twice will at least indicate to the club that supporters are there and they then just need to find the right level for pricing. £15 a match on a perminent basis would be a good solid price and i'm sure we could fill the stadium at that with the right marketting

How many games would you be happy with Jay?

If say that let people in for free for 5 games a season would you be happy? Or 10? I can't decide myself how many it would take to bother me

    Seconded

A full stadium cheering us onto 3 points is all I'm bothered about.

Anyway, even with tickest for a fiver it's still bloody cheaper with a season ticket!!!

Journo i would say a fair few thousand would be in agreement with ya

I've been a season ticket holder last 13 years, last two a good few miles away up in Toon.

And i agree with you, makes no odds to me if they did a couple of 'Fan days' throughout year. I find nothing worse when a big game comes around than looking at the empty seats around Oakwell, although this season the average attendance has gone up to something like 11'500, which ain't bad at all to be fair.

I see the argument that 'again' we have made a mess with the away fans pricing, and also the Forest problems if they had to start refunding people who had bought at a discount or whatever, to be honest i'm totally lost. All i know is its already stoked a hot fire
