After sitting through another dire and spineless performance yesterday and having time to digest it, I think it's about time that we tried something a bit different.

Regardless of which manager comes in this season I think we are too far down the rabbit hole with these players to vastly improve our position (although I'd love to be proved wrong of course!). So why don't we do what The German national team did a few years ago? Realising they had an aging squad going into a major championship they made sweeping changes and played the vast majority of the U21's supplemented by a couple of outstanding veterans. Now I understand we don't have world beating kids or top international players BUT we could adopt the same philosophy. Give the likes of RNL, Jennings, Digby, Rose, Oates, Shillito and whoever else may be just about ready some real and prolonged game time from now until the end of the season. Battle harden and toughen them up to see if they are up to the rigours of league football. Supplement them with Steele, Cranie, COG, Nyatanga and BOBBY BLLODY HASSELL! Inject a bit more pride, passion and fight back into the shirt with players that are proud to play for the club and the town. You could then realease, bin, or give to an unsuspecting lower league team the following players; Kennedy, Dawson, Perkins, Dagnall, Scotland and send back the loan players to their parent clubs.

    Just my thoughts anyway.
