Alternatives to AVG and Comodo

    Recently upgraded to AVG 9.0 and it's slowed my computer down a lot. Comodo is pretty annoying with the pop-ups every time a program launches so I'd rather get rid of them both.

    What do people recommend?

    Can't you go back to the previous version of AVG?

    A system restore will get your computer back to how it used to be

    Avira AntiVir Personal (FREE) from http://www.avira.com/en/download/

    You get an advert popping up every few days asking if you want to upgrade to paid for version, but other than that it's a very low profile, low resource Antivirus app.
