Hi All, I have a few media players installed on my pc including media player 10, quicktime pro, real player, vobsub, and media TV.

None of them will play a video file I have that is encoded with the YUY2 codec. I downloaded the Codec but didn't like the look of the installation instructions so wondered if anyone knew of an alterative player that might play files encoded with this codec?

    Cheers!

Plays the audio - but not the video.

Tried all of the above, nothing works - any other suggestions short of a new PC?

Do you have a software DVD player installed, eg PowerDVD or WinDVD as this should play it.

    How big is the file?
If upload would be a sensible proposition I'll have a look at it.
Send it to jnickd@lycos.com using yousendit.com or similar as long as it's less than 1GB.  If it's bigger than that then I can't be arsed, sorry.

I haven't got a DVD drive on this particular machine (I'm on a temp one and its about 5 year old) so unsure if DVD software will install or not?

It don't matter about sending it, it's a few hundred meg and will take forever, I'll try and re-download it as an .avi and see if that plays any better.
