http://www.barnsley-chronicle.co.uk...latives-raise-cash-for-lady-who-died-in-blaze Why aren't the parents paying for this if they want their kids at the funeral and why do they expect the general public to stump up the cash?
So because they didn't save up for something that happens to everybody, we should pay for it instead? Sorry, I just don't get it. I don't mean to sound like a b*stard(no more than usual anyway) or heartless, I just don't understand it at all.
Do most people don't have a 'relative killed unexpectedly in a house fire and need to fly home quickly fund' put to one side? I suppose it's hard to judge without knowing the circumstances
Well mine isn't titled 'relative killed unexpectedly in a house fire and need to fly home quickly fund' just "Savings"
Tell you what. Someone suffered an absolute tradergy and you are questioing.kind hearted people showing compassion towards a fellow human being
I'm not questioning those who have donated, good on them, if that's what they feel is the right thing to do. I just don't. Simple as that. It's called a debate, yet you wade in with your usual childish tirade of personal insults. Boring.
As it says in the title of the thread, "Although it's a very sad story" - Is that not compassion? Am I not allowed an opinion if it doesn't fall in line with yours?
A lot just don't have savings though mate. Between my mortgage, childcare, providing our little one with a good standard of life my and my wife don't have much left to put away. And we are lucky enough to earn a decent wage.
Go on try it just for once, please Having met you I believe you are actually a decent person, just try to be nice
I have a lot of sympathy for the family, never nice to lose a loved one, but I don't agree with what they're doing. Sorry, if that makes me a bad person, it's just my opinion.
My parents live in Canada, I'm fully aware one day I'll have to pay for flights to go over there when it happens, maybe a morbid thought but it's also life.
I fail to see the difference, I haven't penciled a date in to the calendar when I expect my parents to die.
