Been on jollies for a couple of weeks and was quite happy with 3 points and not knocked out of cup by Rochdale. Epecially, Considering our injury situation and having 2 tricky away fixtures, I really thought not bad. Then I logged in here and couldn't believe the reaction. So my question to anyone who has seen all 4 games is how have we played? Is it all doom and gloom or are we poor because of the lack of fit options?
Probably a bit of both, Danny. I enjoyed the Rochdale game, the Middlesborough game we battled well and deserved the 3points IMO. Wolves wasn't dreadful, we played well in periods against a team that will be challenging at the top of the table come may. The sooner we forget about Brighton the better. We were truly awful. The worrying thing was, that there were only 2 differences from the team that beat Middlesborough. Perkins and Done injured, Lawson and Etuhu instead. I don't honestly think we will play as badly again this season. Well . . . Hope not anyway. The board will probably crash. . .
If we play like we did against Middlesbrough then we have a great chance of getting a result but if we play like we did on Saturday we'll be on the wrong end of another hiding.
It's an away game, so the chances are that we'll be terrible. That's not me being negative, just basing it on the evidence of last season and the start of this. At home we'd have a chance, but away, forget it until the defensive line up changes significantly.
