    7,500 season tickets wasn't it?

There was definitely a feel good factor around the ground. Redfearn's Bar was at capacity by 1:45pm, earliest we've been full since the first game of the season.

I really did have to smile to myself... I paid my 24 quid at the turnstile and the lady there was quite chatty.
Asking her was it a good day for her she said ..... "yeah, I've had nearly thirty paying through here............."
    This was about 2.45pm.
I said to her that the future of BFC was safe then.
    Blank.

The atmosphere has been spot on for the last few months now. Same nice friendly faces, contributed to by new friendly faces every week.

Prizes for the raffle getting better and better, and more and more ale being supped.

I would imagine that those who pay on the day are more likely to turn up later (but could be wrong) but even at 30 people thats £750 for one turnstyle. How many turnstyles take cash at Oakwell? A couple of dozen? Thats a fair amount of money. Plus those paying at the box office on the day and all those buying match by match but buying in advance online or at the box office. I reckon its more money than people realise

Been in a couple of times mesen and enjoyed it.

Just shows the potential income that is being missed

Need the club to buy the old school. Perfect pre match venue and dare I say it hotel. Before anyone guffaws at that, we are always putting players up at Brooklands and the like so it could save money, assuming we have to pay for these stays

We had the Bradford game on yesterday because it was free to view on BT Sport, but normally just the Championship game on Sky Sports.

Don't forget that all the people working behind the bar on match days and skiving from work on a Friday to collect ale, pies, napkins, forks, etc. are doing it for free.

The income potential on a 150 capacity venue that only gets full for less than an hour, when paying staff wages is limited.

Yep, we rocked up at 2pm to be greeted by a long queue. Didn't make it in. (We could have if we queued).

Has to be said my youngest doesn't like going in "Because it's like a dungeon" , which begs the question how good could it be in a different part of the ground?

Anyway that aside, you guys do deserve so much credit for making that place a pleasure to be in pre match. (unless you're a ten yr old reluctant Barnsley fan)

I've not heard dungeon before but I have heard bookies!

I hate places without windows, so I know where she's coming from.

Somebody should look into the cost of finishing part of the east stand.

The middle section of the stand has been finished to create part of the exec area but the two outer wings are incomplete. Stick some glass in the left hand section (towards ponty) like there is in the middle part and then build some walls and a mezzanine floor onto the already which existing structural supports which I believe were designed with this in mind and you've got a huge box ready made to do with as you please. Would make a perfect expanded redfearns that would have a much higher capacity. It's probably make the match day easier for all you volunteers too as you wouldnt have to keep emptying it again.

Just a thought, probably not practical at all but could be worth somebody taking a look at. If it was relatively easy the club could (long term) do the same to the right hand side to create a massive area for kids to play/be entertained as it would be connected to the family stand area.

Ta. I just wondered because the TV's in the concourses seem to show different things every week with no consistency so wondered if you controlled your own or had to put up with whatever the club felt like showing that day too. Good to hear you appear to get your own control over it. Yet another reason to try the bar out one day

Totally separate system mate not linked to what the club show.

It's a youth centre when it isn't Redfearn's, hence all the TVs and internet connections scattered around.
