    It's just really annoying that they won't call it the ponty end.

    No. It has so many name changes (thanks to the generosity of sponsors) that if you had returned to Barnsley after a few years absence it gives you the idea where it is.

    Are you also annoyed that they don't refer to the terrace, paddock and spion kop for the other areas of the ground?

    Yes it irritates me as does the fact that the Brewery Stand isn't called that anymore. It's heritage versus chasing a cheap buck though so it'll always like out.

    It only really gives you an idea where it is if you've got a compass in your hand and even then you have to know whether the south stand faces south or is at the south end of the ground.

    The odd part is though that the south stand and the east stand don't make any money from being called that. The ck Becket pontefract road end is in my mind worth more money in sponsorship than the ck Becket south stand.

    The brewery stand is interesting. Wasn't it called that because of the sponsorship anyway?
