who thinks that if we just adopt a more pacy and urgent attacking approach from the start and throughout games (given our subs bench is reasonably strong on a like for like basis when players tire or don't perform) we could end up steam rolling this league. Some of our passing triangles are sweet but tend to go sideways or backwards, slows down the attacking impetus and gives the better drilled teams time to organise themselves. We need to cut through with forward momentum and movement off the ball. I'm sure we could do that. When we get wide, as we did on numerous occasions yesterday, get the ball in early rather than trying to beat one more player. Obviously, we need forwards and attacking mids to anticipate that and get in the box or there about faster. I see glimpses of this when games are slipping away from us and someone seems to hit the 'urgency' button - and we look good in that mode. Why can't we be 'urgent' from the get go? I'm convinced we'd get more wins that way. Also need to shoot more, some of our over-elaboration in the final third really frustrates me.
I could agree with much of that but not with the ponderous midfield we currently have. Once that changes we may have chance.
