I hope LJ doesn't take that as meaning that these results are acceptable. The only question I have is what is the evidence for believing the current manager has the capability of turning it around. I can't see any.
"But we sacked lots of other managers for doing poorly, so not sacking this one despite us being next to bottom of the league will have positive effects." Basically lots of people don't understand correlation =/= cause.
I believe its because people are starting to realise that its no longer just a problem of the manager's making
That assumption is based on the idea that sacking managers on a consistent basis over many years has no long term effect on the club as a whole and that any new manager coming in should be able to sort out a decent team from all the pieces left behind.
Apathy has set in with many of us and we've tried the new manager option so many times without success over recent years....personally I'd give him more time, but I can see why others won't agree and I won't be surprised if he's already gone...
