Don't get me wrong. I’m willing Mark Robins it be a success and I'm right behind him, 100%. But I just find it laughable how people are making out he’s made an impressive start, on the basis of a few footballing clichés he' said at the press conference. 'I don't want to play players out of position’; ' I want to bring a winning mentality to the team’ etc etc.

Me? I’ll judge him based on his results, thank you very much.

I think most managers who come into a new club will want to impress with positive words and old cliche'. I do hope he can get the best out of a poor team that we have, he comes out with true sentences that we have one or two quality players . When he has accessed them all he will realized that he as a group of players who have just survived in the championship last season and most of them belong in the lower leagues.
Good luck Mark you have such an enormous task ahead.

    Are they?

I think most will wait a bit of time before forming any real opinion on Mark Robins.

People can only post on what we have heard so far.

Perhaps we should shut down the board for 10 games or so to prevent any premature opinions being aired?

    RE: Are they?

FFS, I expressed my opinion that's all, didn't ask for boards to be shut down or anything.

you said how easily people are impressed by platitudes

    I don't think they are.

Its just a function of a message board where people express their opinions based upon the minutiae currently available.

    Chill out.
