This is what the fans want to see, Don. What you need to do to entice fans back is to convince us that the club is still dreaming the dream despite the off field adversity. Let's show some fight eh lad. Tha noez, Yorkshire grit n all that.
I think the Don is a bit of realist and a cold hard facts man which is fine and has it's place on any board but you're right we need somebody on the board to send out the 'dream the dream' rallying call to the fans. Somebody who is a fan at heart, one of us who has stood on the terraces and who loves the club. Personally I'd have somebody like John Dennis back on the board who could make that connection with the fans.
That's a shame because I can't see the current structure changing anytime soon and JD would add a much needed dimension to the board, one that's been missing for some time.
He made mistakes but there is no doubt that he loved the club. He is a fan and could bring back the connection between the club and the fans, something we havent had for a long time now.
