I'm not going to mention him again until the end of the season. I've made my feelings clear on him so there's no point constantly repeating the same points over and over again when it won't change things one iota.
People keep going on about us getting rid of the players that are not good enough for this league, but next season this squad would be up in the top end of the top 6 all season, just because they're not good enough for this league , next season they'll be just the sort of players we need.
I think you're seriously underestimating the teams in League One if you think that will be the case. Relegated teams with a losing mentality can really struggle in the division below, just look at Bristol City's first half of the season...
Think again. We have 17 players out of contract at the end of the season, and I will guarentee that the majority will be looking for clubs in the Championship, not all but most of them will. Our squad is going to be ripped to shreds, and next years team is going to look completely different, I just hope it doesnt have Woods in it.
Some of the players who ARE under contract will also be moved on. The loss of tv money from playing in the Championship amounts to nearly £6m. In order to plug part of that gap, players who can command a transfer fee will be transferred out (Steele, O'Grady, Jennings, Cranie).
