This board is really becoming hard work to read.Football has and always will create opinions thats why we all love the game.I joined this board on a recommendation that it was the best for banter and information and for the first couple of years I found that to be the case. Now its personal insults, some trying to twist words and actions of the club without foundation most of the time. We're now coming towards the business end of the season and I'm sure we all are striving for safety and hopefully mid table, that includes the board, manager, players and most importantly us the supporters. If I knew what was going to happen in the next few weeks I would amend my lottery numbers and become a millionaire. The thing is I don't know and neither does anyone else.Lets settle back and enjoy the ride, you never know it might be better than what you thought.

    Agreed

Let's leave all the bickering until the summer. It's too late now for this season, let's just support the team until the summer, then let rip for all I care.

certain posters on here will not EVER give the manager credit, no matter what happens, because it would be too painful to accept that they might be wrong. Theyve voiced their dislike of him and thats it. Silence when we win and all manner of dogs abuse when we dont. Anything and everything he does given a negative spin. How sad that the team doing badly gives them some sense of personal satisfaction.

I rate Davey highly, I think he's a very astute, hard working and thus far successful manager and we're lucky infact to have him. Thats the honest truth. That must irk them immensely.

I find it quite funny that the original Amnesty post has been met with "you don't agree with what I think therefore you must get satisfaction from the team losing"

    Quality :D

    100% correct

The guy who sits behind me at Oakwell (im sure he must post on here) hasn't celebrated a Barnsley goal for about three months.

everytime we hit the onion bag he sits there arms folded with a face like thunder because it means he can't have one of his "Davey you useless ******" rants for a good 5 minutes.

I bet his missus has a lovely homelife.

I don't rate Davey at all. I think he's a very stubborn, tactically nieve and thus far has been a very unsuccessful manager and we're lumbered with him. Thats the honest truth. That must irk them immensely.

'Certain posters on here will not EVER give the manager criticism.' You perceive that to be the case. That would be like me accusing you of not giving Davey any credit when he gets things right. I'm sure you must do otherwise you would be as blinkered as the people you criticise. I have supported Davey thus far, but it doesn't stop me having a moan about his away day tactics.

    It Works both ways

I do not rate Davey as a manager in EVERY respect of management, tactically, motivation and most of all his disregard for the Media whom wether we like it or not are there to be won over and will repay that back when handled correctly.
There are many on this board who have nailed their FLAG to Davey and will never aacept they are wrong, so it works both ways.
To accept a relegation dog fight as the norm is not what a Fan wants , if a individual has no ambition thenits mediocre all the aweay .... and im sorry , i work hard for may wage and my employer expects value for money...... so do i at Barnsley when i watch them Home and away, but the truth is we get one step forward and 2 back and that demonstrates that we the fans are being ripped off by a bad manager , and a spineless chairman who is supposed to be a fan but cannot see and accept that the "CHEAP OPTION ! has not worked for Barnsley FC

fair do's row X but do you really think that Sacking Davey and bringing in a new manager would equal a promotion push? If you could guarantee that fair enough but I feel our best bet is to give him another season....if we are not in the top ten my next Christmas then I'm sure his time will be up but maybe, just maybe with a fully fit squad and a good start, it could be a season to remember. Give him a bit more time....

It's the way of the world I'm afraid

we live in a society where everybody has an opinion and they're always right. </p>

Too many people want to speak but not listen and can't countenance anybody thinking differently to them. The only way they can deal with such dissent is by handing out abuse. It's pathetic and childish but it's the only way many people know how to behave.

    "Spineless chairman"

That's a lovely compliment to the one guy who saved this club, has paid the entire staff wage bill since he arrived, and pumped &pound;10m of his own money into the club. It's comments like that that must make him wonder wtf he bothers. Get on at the manager if you wish, but only a fool would attack PC.

As long as everyone gets behind them during the games then they can say owt they want on here. Davey is here for this season, at least, lets support them at Oakwell.
