After Odejayi missed that chance this evening I took it upon myself to be a complete **** by cheering ever Odejayi touch, every misplaced header & every slip. I went over the top & was jumping up & down and screaming every time he touched it. I can imagine it became slightly annoying, however, there is method in my madness. I thought that I'd show all the moaners exactly what it's like when the boot is on the other foot. For everytime they moaned, I clapped. Everytime they groaned, I cheered. It was stupid but I think I got a point across. I even had stewards laughing & a few glares from those in the middle of the East Stand. Some people even agreed with me. I'd just like to say that I don't think Odejayi is good enough but I just don't understand what good barracking & berating his every touch is going to do him. To me the only way that he may start to do better is with a bit of confidence brought on by his supporters support. What we saw tonight was an average league one player low on confidence and playing out of position. I honestly don't understand what people expect from him when you look at what he was up against from the off tonight. Rant over.
So you think he's filled with self belief and confidence do you? I agree he's not up to Championship football, but that's not his fault. While he gets selected he plays for BFC & should be able to count on support from his fans.
There was a thread the other day saying that Oddjob was the most loved or liked player at Oakwell He has had the backing of everyone this season yet he still has no confidence. he has a heart the size of a gnat and only half the footballing talent.
Well , did you?? and what part of my post was pathetic? I never mentioned tonights game just Oddjob in general. Seems that you call others that dont go but have different standards for yourself. Pathetic
mess about all you want pal. odejayi is fecking ****, a useless waste of a squad number. anyone who has any football knowledge on this forum would gladly let him go for free in january and play for some sunday morning division 6 side. he is awful and an embarrassment to bfc.
I never said he was good enough, in fact I said quite the opposite & I think that we should be looking to move him on. However, I don't think he's the embarassment. The fact is he's a pro footballer who's being selected to play. Of course he's going to play, it's his job. If he's not good enough it's the fault of the manager for continually selecting him. So berate & b.llock the manager, not the players.
I don't think that thread translates to the feeling amongst the majority of the crowd then mate. Yes people might say they support him & never moan about him but I think some of those are lying. When you go to games do you honestly believe that the crowd are behind him & that he's the most loved player on the pitch? If the answer is yes I honestly believe you're deluded.
I believe he is not good enough to play in this league, but he has had a hell of a lot of cheers and applause this season. I did not say that I thought he was and I am definitely not deluded, but he has had more than enough chances to silence his critics and its about time he either did or we got shut. At a match it is not the place to have a pop at any Reds player, but on here on a forum , I think it is better to have a go here than at Oakwell.
I sit in the east stand lower away end and I never noticed you! perhaps you were not as conspicuous as you thought.
