Keith should take some lessons from Luke Steele and Done on interview technique. Again having a go at fans , bigging up the opposition and belittling the clubs championship status .Contradicting statements that the game went to plan but basically admitting the side was forced on him through injury. As for the pathetic comments about undue pressure ,'the job takes up alot of time' and getting time with family....tell that to a police officer, nurse and member of the armed forces.....he's unbelievable

i really am past caring now.
at first i was offended. and yes id love him to have a bit of a love-in with us - it would help the club - but at the end of the day if he gets results he will do for me..

I think he's detracting from a good performance , you can see the agitation in the mans face and body language, talking about the game was secondary to him, he wanted to get his contempt for fans over no matter what ,he feels aggrieved , he feels hard done to,its taking up all his time physically and mentally, how dare some of the fans boo at matches ,he knows what he's doing ,he's a good manager and the fans should unconditionally accept that.....who needs a reality check Keith, its not the fans

personally i think just about every single 1 of us would react in the same manner had we been subjected to the abuse he has recieved wether justified or not, makes you wonder who is tryin to turn it into a them or us situation, the manager or the fans

WHAT?! A football manager's human? Naow.

People on 'ere want everything, an honest, up front manager that won't say what he thinks and only tell people what they want to hear.

Can you really blame him for his comments after the week he has just endured? Some of the fans need a reality check and need to support the team and the manager even through testing times. Our next home fixture against Leicester is one hell of a tough game for us and the team is going to need all the encouragement the fans can give for us to potentially come away with a positive result.
My advice to all the moaners is if your not going to get behind the team in a positive way, do us all a favour and stay at home, you will not be missed even if it means more empty seats in the stands.Love him or loathe him Keith Hill and his staff are giving 110% commitment to the cause. Could we make the same comment about the fans giving support to the team? To the 300 odd fans who went to Reading yesterday I'd say yes and I for one salute every One of you. They are the true supporters of this club.

    Its disappointing

So some fans (understandably) expressed their disappointment at 2 very poor home performances, and a small minority of our 10000 regular fans have gone over the top with abuse directed at him.

The way he is carrying on you would think every single fan had personally had a go at him

If he carries on like he did yesterday he will sucessfully unite all the fans against him which cant be a good thing

I dont think our fans are significantly better or worse than fans in other clubs - and if Hill plans to progress his career to bigger clubs he will find the expectations of fans ... and chairmen .. is higher and even less forgiving than ours.

Top managers dont go out of their way to burn bridges with the fans - in fact quite the opposite.

Keith needs to realise that there's a silent majority who do not react with abuse and booing after 3 games in a season. Only the loud, stupid minority do that. He admits that he finds the abuse and criticism difficult, but let's remember his wife has just given birth so there's a high level of stress at home and at work so any human being would be finding things tough. Lack of sleep might be a factor too. I don't mind his comments about the fans personally because I know he's not referring to me. Dr Z is absolutely spot on; we will only have a chance for improved performances at home if the fans are prepared to give the team a chance and get behind them. I'm not holding my breath though as some people do seem to want him to fail...

We got an excellent result in very difficult circumstances. Given the flak Keith has had recently I don't mind him expressing his views. It's a two-way street an all that.

You need to get a grip, the way Keith hill has been treated this week is disgusting. He has been abused at Oakwell, on the radio and on Internet by is own "fans", and now he wants to put is point accross you take offence?

It is clear Keith Hill doesnt stand a chance here with "fans" like you.

I haven't abused keith hill on here on the radio or at oakwell. I have never bood any Barnsley team. But I am being tarred with the same brush like many other fans.

He has never once mentioned a minority of fans. In the interview when he listed all the things he was pleased with he could have aknowledged the fans who want to support the team. That would have sent a better message out to the fans that boo and would love to see him fail

Instead he's having a go at everyone

I think its the old chestnut....people want other people to be honest....until they are...if the fans say they have a right to boo and abuse players....then its only fair went it comes back.....I also think its quite pathetic...that fans moan the manager has not made a bit of a fuss of them after a victory...

I dont blame him the way he has been judged and criticised over the last couple of weeks. He is an honest bloke and to be fair to him he could have said a lot more. Seems to me that some fans are going to criticise him for everything even when we win a game. It's all moan moan fecking moan and it's getting enbarrassing.

That was exactly my point in a reply to Jay's post.
Instead of leaving things to cool off he continues to fan the flames and make it even worse.
I have never booed and do resent being tarred with the same brush as the booers.
However, we've been told to 'grow up' by someone whoon here who clearly does not recognise that we are all passionate fans, we are all different and we all react differently both to wins and defeats and obviously to comments by the manager.
I shall always be there, long after Hill has moved on to the bigger and better pastures he refers to in his overriding ambition.
