just returned from the ground mainly to find out if there were any developments. Anyway, during my time there a certain chairman and other director came along. They were quetioned to the state of the situation by one man in particular who the other observers felt should not be asking questions about the club and putting the chairman under pressure. These same people by the way are generally the ones who receive free tickets to away matches. Anyway, on his way back after talking to the players he again passed us and I decided to ask questions concerning, signings, management and overall generalisations. I was soon put in my place however when, the chairman suggested that I put 2 million into the club sit on the board and then have my say.I told him that if I had 2 miilion I would do. He replied if,if,if I heard it all before. I immediately asked him if he had introduced 2 million pound he refused to answere repeating that I was an if,if,if man and then walked away. The other director replied after I had stated that I expect at least a win at home and to go for a draw away. He said that I was an eternal optomist and then he too walked away. Soon after, a liked and popular player(who will not be identified for obvious reasons) walked by. We suggested that he did'nt look to happy. He replied that that was an uderstatement. I said that perhaps he was'nt as p***ed of as I was at the situation. He replied that yes he was and that he was uterly p***ed of. End of feedback to that event. :S ff (H)
I can't really agree with the idea of harassment of staff down at the training ground. If anyone has any issues with the club, they should write a letter directly to the chairman. Go along and watch the training by all means, but leave people alone to get on with their everyday business.
If the Chairman and other directors go and watch training and things are not right they can expect to get awkward questions from the supporters as much as expecting the congratulations from supporters when they do something right (visits to the Ponty End last season?)
I was at the training ground this morning (and no I don't get tickets for games as implied)and the person who approached the chairman didn't question him about the state of affairs he was downright ignorant and rude.I think telling the chairman to get his ffing money spent and calling him a pillocker was way over the top when all he had said was good morning.
steady on, someone giving an alternative, and probably correct, point of view. u'll be hounded off here lad. shock, chairman tells abusive prat to bugger off, wow, rubbish at PR - spot on i say. hey, but lucky for us, we all appreciate the fact that we have a bloke sorting out the 'business' of the club and preventing us going bust again....no...actually, i want out previous chairman back, he was great at PR, bugger, he almost lost us our club.. hmmm, which choice to make...PR everytime, thats what i reckon.
no it was'nt me wayne I do think it might have been the first guy. I did not swear at the man. If he is saying that I did then that needs to be said by shepherd and that I am more than willing to defend myself.
Guest seemed right, the most important thing is that we have some stability and that we have a club to support. Yes PR was good at PR but we nearly didn't exist, what would we have discussed on here? Also LT saying Gudjon was better than AR, possibly but he was also a damn site better than Paul Hart in my opinion. That was good PR wasnt it for Mr P Riddy, sack a fairly successful manager for someone who did worse.
I know who the player was and I know who Baskerville is he's a genuine fella and I believe that it was not him who went off at Shepherd.
I have read this and it worries me. Why should we believe anything that comes out of our Club these days? I'm losing faith but will still keep going because I can't stop, but I am just resigned to losing these days both at home and away.
