according to the official site its £30 for an adult ticket at Readings South Stand ticket office I am sure they were only £25 in advance - thats a heck of a price hike for on the day admission
i,m fully expecting the lowest tarn away followings for over a decade...........no courthouse,no outpost,no hoyland,no penistone,no athersley buses.
That's a first!!!! I dare say some of the London/Southern tykes who'd usually go might not bother?!? Speaks volumes.
Im only going because I work 15 miles from Readings ground. I didn't know whether I would be able to go until yesteday though as I could have been on a business trip and only knew for sure I wasn't traveling yesterday. Wonder if they will force us to sit in allocated seats again this year- a couple of years ago they had all the advance sales in one block lower down and the on the door sales right at the back of the stand
Hopefully you won't be the only one there No need for such a price hike. They want people to make a special effort to buy tickets in advance even though it's no chance of being a sell out.
Not sure - but if the game is a bit quiet I will try and count us tonight I guess we will take around 150
If I were you mate I'd phone the Reading box office and state your case. It's hardly fair for someone who lives in Farnham to have to buy in advance from Oakwell (or at least that's what I would be telling Reading)
They'll respond by saying you could have ordered a ticket by internet or by phoning Barnsley box office and get it delivered.
I must admit that I would have been struggling to bother as well, had I still been living in Risborough. £30 is just a ludicrous price to pay but I suppose they are still paying for the Madjeski
Our appalling away form plus the trip to Yeovil have done this. I'm going to Yeovil with the Outpost and I know the bus is full so I guess people are making a choice and the weekend away is more appealing.
I'm not going, not really bothered either which probably says it all about my own lack of interest right now but also the lack of heart being shown by the current team
I rang Reading up in the last hour. To get a ticket I have to go to the away box office buy a ticket and them go through the automatic (unmanned) turn style. £30 plus say £6 to get the bus from the station to the ground. I'll be there with my lad and his mate.
Think the tuesday night we lost at eventual league cup winners Swansea we had 80 odd. Cracking photo of the "away end" from that game. A few hardy souls stuck on a corner Leicester stylie.
