Hi as stated in an early post i live in washington dc. I and a group of friends went to watch a baseball game and straight after there was a concert by the wall flowers. Could or would this be a good idea for oakwell to try to attract more people in. Here you bought the ticket and the concert was free it was $25 for the seats we were in the attendance 38000 people. a more normal nats attendance would be around 25000. this happens 3-4 times per season here. please discuss the pros and cons.
cannot see it working here................. if the football team are shlte...nobody wants to go in the first place. hth
York races, Donny races do it every year. Entry to the sport gets you free access to the concert afterwards. Can't see a problem with it although you would need a half decent band who could pull in over 10,000 to make it worthwhile. Somebody like Amy MAcDonald stright after the match would pull a great crowd in.
errmwhat about the band setting up? just a small point, but the stage would have to be erected, sound checks etc etc. Or am I missing summat.
Re: errmwhat about the band setting up? at the game i went to here the stage and speakers were brought on trolleys pulled by golf carts. that was the stage then just towed away when the band had finished. so its not a problem
