Compares how your club is now with how it was in 1992 & whether you've over-achieved (given their criteria) or underachieved. A few of your neighbours feature heavily, top & bottom of the 92 clubs.

Won't say how you fared - other than it's way, way better than my shower.

What a curious statistic



46th is as average as you can get in a league of 92.

Which is just about bang on. We've had plenty to shout about to be fair considering how average we have been over the years.

Nowt happened for ages

Then we went to the Premiership, beat Man Utd, went to (old) Wembley, nearly went bust, went to The Millenium, beat Chelsea and Liverpool and went to (new) Wembley.

And still only made 46th.....

If you really get the time, read it carefully and note all the inaccuracies; (only 23 teams in one of the Championship tables, for a start) - just shows you can prove anything with statistics.

To be honest, I don't really care about where we were in 1992, all that really matters is now.

That shows a lack of regard as to how this Club has progressed or otherwise, the Clubs history should not be taken so lightly.

if you look at the Championship achievers table we are 10th, ie remarkable achievement.

They finished mid-table in this division in 1992

The whole thing is utter ballacks. Never read as much **** in all my life. Cardiff are 81st of the 92 clubs yet in 1992 they finished midtable in the 4th division! It's the biggest waste of time, money and effort I've heard about in a long time. Total ****.

I think you'll find

That for one season, the Championship (2nd Division), did have 23 teams as part of a staged reduction of the teams in the top flight.

When?
I can remember at the end of the 1994/95 season 4 clubs were relegated from the Premier League & only 2 were promoted from Division 1 (as it was then called).

I think

It was around either 87 or 88. I remember there was definitely one season where the top 2 divisions had an odd number of teams, meaning that each team had 2 enforced lay offs that season.
