https://you-are-the-ref.com/hacketts-verdict-well-done-peter-bankes-select-group-2/ Mr Hackett was born and bred in Sheffield, still lives there, and is a lifelong Sheffield Wednesday fan...
He's well in with local 'journalist' Alan Biggs who has a permanent hard on about the Sheffield clubs, and for a while ran several stories trying imho to unsettle O'Grady whilst he was here over a move to Sheff Utd. His patronising tone and praise through gritted teeth towards us is a complete piss take. Pair of bells.
It's ok for the ref to "rightly" book the Barnsley player for waving his arms, but not the Wednesday manager for doing enough complaining to draw his attention? The only thing they're consistent with is pissing in the same pot, whether current or past. Little men going out to affect results for their power trips. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk
Supertyke correctly pointed out that a 2 footed challenge in itself is not a sending off offence maybe Mr Hackett ought to look at the rules again. Hammill didnt jump in over the ball, he played the ball , his studs were not showing - if thats a red card then every time players jump to head the ball there should be a sending off and dont get me started on the difference between a quiet word for the opposition manager showing dissent but a correct yellow card for our player. Notice his also omits to mention that the manager and opposition assistant manager were dismissed from OUR technical area. he sees nothing odd in 4 of the Wednesday bench piling in to our technical area and one from each being dismissed. Objective my ar$e
Just a thought about the Hammill incident. It looks to me like he used his feet to "block" rather than lunge in two footed. I've seen it done many times by Hamill and it's defensive rather than offensive, and many times its meant him riding a challenge and coming out with the ball. Sent from my SM-G850F using Tapatalk

Which Barnsley player did he correctly book for dissent? I have looked through several reports and statistic sites and can only see Sam Morsy being given a yellow card, and that was for a foul late in the first half! Was Mr Hackett actually at the same game??
Did Hackett work for SY Police - he seems perfect for their falsifying statements department? Positively Goebbels-esque.
And that I'm afraid is the problem. Hackett was regarded as a top ref but it. Just shows you how they stick together. Like some secret society protecting one another. Rotten to the core
You could be forgiven for thinking that this 'objective' view was from a pig fan. Oh hang on a minute.
If it were from a pigs fan then it probably could be viewed. As objective. In fact it would. Be definitely. Anti Fowls. However, this is a case of a ref blindly backing a ref. It wouldn't matter had he been pig, fowl. Pikey scab or whatever
Wish I hadn't read that. Angry now. This was a game where the referee stood in front of a Sheffield Wednesday player and clearly sent him off, then someone had a word in his ear piece and he made Hammill walk. Yet he gets praised for his performance. Jesus.
Yes but he is getting praised by a Sheffield Wednesday fan not by anyone in any kind of power. Keith hackett used to stand on the kop as a schoolboy with his dad.
