    Dear Sir,

FOR FOOK'S SAKE CHECK YOUR WING MIRRORS BEFORE MOVING OUT INTO THE SPACE THAT I ALREADY OCCUPY IN THE MIDDLE LANE YOU GREAT PILLOCK.

Secondly, it's not big or clever to try and overtake another HGV simply by travelling 0.0000000001 mph faster and thereby causing a tailback for everyone else.

    sincerely,

    Mancunian Tyke

I were coming off the A1 the other day somewhere near Darrington you have to slow down as its a realy tight bend, a HGV didn't like this
and decided to blow his horn as loud as possible I nearly shet myself.

    Well

Being an HGV driver, my wagon might be limited to 54 miles an hour and the guy i'm going to overtake might be 53 miles an hour, there is no way i'm gonna sit behind him till he decides to turn off the motorway, yeh it will cause a tailback, but as soon as i'm out of his bad wind as they say i'm gone, plus it also depends on the guy i'm overtaking cos he might just ease off knowing i'm slightly quicker then him. So don't always blame the driver doing the overtaking.

also you're not one of these that hog the middle lane are you doing 55 miles an hour.. :)

    Worse than HGV drivers.............

those wnakers who just sit in the middle lane of the motorway when they're not overtaking anything at all resulting in the motorway being then technically 2 lanes as you can't undertake and thus results in more traffic trying to get through 1 lane

I wanna get some stickers printed "IF YOU'RE NOT FECKING OVERTAKING, MOVE THE **** OVER TO THE LEFT HAND LANE YOU CNUTS!!"

But like you said, you can do another 30 miles in that hour! so by being held up for say 2 minutes you kick off, so who's the selfish one!!

A whole 16mph slower? Have you ever wondered what the 3rd lane was for on motorways?

Granted the A1 is a dual carriageway!

Sod it and go up the inside if its safe, Its

only illegal if your caught, and there dont seem to be much concern over exceeding 70 mph on the moterway. Time it was all reviewed.

    RE: Worse than HGV drivers.............

I once followed a female in the outside lane of a dual carriageway for about a mile with nothing on the inside - not to worry I thought, as the dual carriageway came to a motorway and went to three lanes.

At the point where it went to three lanes I'd accelerated and started pulling into the third lane, and she beat me to it - with still not another car in sight.

Was p!ssed off mightly then, so subjected her to flashing headlights and a beeping horn until she moved over!

best thing to do is bide your time overtake them, then slow right down in front of them to make them lose there speed momentum that puts a stop to that
