The Orient one was always going to be on with it not being a Saturday game. Bit like the Xmas games being shown.
Peterborough game day before going back to work after 17 days off. Tempted to bin it off so don’t have my week ruined already. Off to Orient.
Im going to Orient anyway - Am probably missing the Peterborough game as I need to be in Farnham on Easter Sunday, and am working Tuesday so a 400 mile day trip up to Barnsley on Bank Holiday Monday doesnt really have much appeal. Will probably let my BH Monday afternoon be spoiled in front of the TV though
Orient n Peterborough games were always going to be on sky sports plus with been on a Friday n a Monday no 3 o'clock black out
Why when I post that games are going to be on TV, even in the form of what some might recognise as a joke, do people feel the need to reply that they were expected to be on TV anyway? It happens every time and it put me off doing so the other week and then someone posted that they hadn't noticed and missed watching the game on Sky. Just because it's not surprising information, it's still information you know. If you already knew, or had reasonably assumed, maybe just ignore it and move on to another thread?
I think people are just making conversation rather than leaving your thread empty and looking ignored. If, in real life, someone told me that the game was on Sky, I’d probably reply saying that I thought it might be. Or, I might say, ‘yeah I saw that last night’. It’s not trying to be rude it’s just the natural response. It could also be a case of some people see every post online as a direct comment to them, like a real conversation. Hence why you get people replying to Amazon questions saying ‘I don’t know, I didn’t use it, it was a gift’ rather than just not answering the question. Basically, I wouldn’t take it personally. Some people will find it useful information and some won’t.
You should see what I do if someone else starts the "Games on Sky" thread. Fair enough. Probably me being oversensitive. Apologies.
A few years ago, I once mentioned that a Barnsley game was on Sky. Several people got irate saying "You say that like everyone's got Sky...etc etc" All I said was "The Barnsley game is on SKY". So now I don't bother....lol
