Absolutely Nailed On!! Look at the facts and it all adds up. He's already brought his assistant in. 2 Wins already & 2 clean sheets. Shepherd has said he want's someone who'll put faith in the academy. He's already put his mark on things both tactically and in terms of discipline and is talking ahead. And the absolute clincher... He's cheap.
RE: Absolutely Nailed On!! Agree, but his biggest test will come at Leeds, lets see how he performes on Satdi when he takes the team away. If he comes through that, with flying colours then like you say it's absolutely nailed on.
You forgot his modern training techniques uses a laptop and plays videos during team talks, according to Rob Knowalls in the match programme
hopefully to say weve just kept 2 cleen sheets in a row is very impressive. On average we conceeded 2 goals a game under Ritchie. Some praise has to go to Ryan Kidd aswell i think.
RE: No chance. sorry but i think he will be the new manager, your another one of these obsessed with "big names"
Davey has done his work on the inside. Impressive power point presentations on training. No doubt a few digs about training methodology by the coffee machines. Highlighting a few young players that might be available that Gord might want to point out to Andy. The job is Simon's to loose. I reckon Gord is checking out how Simon handles the dressing room before making a final decision, but as long as he doesn't have the personality of Spackman he's nailed on. Why else would he have been allowed to take on a new defense coach. What job security did Davey offer to convince the lad that the move from Bury was for more than a couple of weeks. Oh, and he's probably very cheap. Mr Davey has big ambitions for himself as a football manager and will accept a first job for a very reasonable salary is my guess.
Davey deserves a chance and at the moment he's taking it well. So what if he's not a big name he's winning matches and has, so far, corrected our main problem which was out inability to defend.
