It's up to

Togwell , Johnson & Butterfield to make the most of their opportunity now .

Not Such A Big Loss Im My Opinion

He's a Brazilian from the premiership and yet drops a league and gets booked all the time for silly challengers like Monday night. I've not been too impressed with a lot of his performances. I will probably get bashed for saying that, but we have plenty of cover there and I would now give Togwell his chance.

    I also think

from the body language when he came off, that Davey has realised McCann's no central midfield player, or at least doesnt work alongside Howard, so Im pretty sure its Togwell or Johnson in on Saturday.

What sort of a player is Butterfield?

Is he more of a tough-tackling holding player or a creative runner and passer?

Togwell can't pass a football to save his life but if we want Howard to get forward we need someone to do the dirty work in the centre.
Young Sam did a pretty consistent job of that last season and so gets my nod for the time being.

    Half-hearted?

Wasn't he the player that chased Marney (3rd goal) all the way back from the other half and almost got a tackle in? Also got booked late on for a tasty challenge?

Backed out of a few challenges

gave the ball away more often than not, didnt look the same player, looked very much like someone who didnt want to be there. I'd originally put it down to the cold, but the news article above explains it.

What Are His Chances Of Getting In At Everton?

I wouldn't say too highly. He could only stay another month anyway, so what harmed would he have done anyway? Oh well, we have Reidy, Toggers, Johnson and Butterfield who can all play there.

    Shame but cant blame him

Still thought he would have played better on Monday though as he wont have impressed Moyes with that performance

I'd definitely give Toggers the nod for Saturday.

in fact My Midfield would be JCR Howard Togwell and Werling - Disco seems to work best as an impact player coming on with 30 mins to go and McCann is not really impressing at the moment.

How far is Hassel from fitness?

    I'd go with Togwell

but not so sure about Werling in midfield, have we given up on Ricketts? I think Hassell is still a few weeks away, but he'd come straight back into the side for me, and I'd put Foster alongside Souza and move Nytanga to left back. doesnt seem JCR is capable of a full 90 mins, so Devaney at least gives an option from the bench.

I'd go with Togwell , too

He's been patiently awaiting his opportunity and this could be it .

Whats up with Atkinson filling the position

Is he still on loan ? Remember he played some 'blinders' last season, especially when he played the Mega Million Nugent out of the game.

    Truth be told

I don't think Butterfield will be considered , anyway . As Johnson hasn't been on the bench , or playing for the reserves , since the Plymouth game I'd expect Togwell to get the nod .

Wash your mouth out!! Are you suggesting that we give one of our own youngsters an opportunity to stake a claim for a first team place. Mr Davey will have you barred from the ground.

I think Davey will have to go with Togwell, he is a grafter, and while De Silva as more skill on the ball Toggers will give his all to establish himself in the team. I would bring Kosluk back into the team in place of Werling and give Christensen and Ferenczi a go up front( if he is fit). With two poor performances behind us , surely we now of got it out of their systems and lets hope we give Leicester a good game on sat. The slide down the table means we have to get back on winning ways, 3 points will see us shoot back up the league, and it's a league that any team on their day can beat anyone. (Y)

He won't dislodged Arteta, all we can hope for is Arteta doesn't move and (unlucky for the ald but) Da Silva doesn't make it - then we can try getting him in December on loan or sign him in January.

Johnson a step back - Togwell a battler so my first choice - Butterfield: too early - Reid: no way.

Another loanee an option but that always put pressure on team when they leave like this scenario. McCann possibly play centre with Werling on left, Kozluk tucked in behind him.

Anyone think Davey might not have wanted him back.......... or does but not at this moment in time? We could only extend the loan for one more month BEFORE January, during November sure we have another international break aswell.
Maybe good see him come back in December for the Xmas period!?

To Throw Another Iron In The Fire

I think that when Hassell is fit he would be perfect as a holding midfielder. Hes got the same kind of bite as Shezza. & if im right when someone doubted Howard a few days ago about not being in the same league as Redfearn for being able to go forward they mentioned that Redfearn had Shezza behind him to mop up.

I for one would love to see him have a go at that role!

I fear he won't be the same player after this prolonged injury(N)

I'll bet a pound to a penny he has another long lay off this season
