Is it right that wehaven'tscored a goal from open play since he left the club; and that we hadn't scored a goal in open play before he signed for the club? So we haven't scored a goal in open play apart from the time that Anderson was here?

**** me, thank god we got him back.

First 2 games: Scored 3 penalties.

Anderson arrived for the Plymouth game: won 3-2 with 2 goals from open play. (Ferenczi & Howard)

Since he left, we haven't scored in open play, I'm fairly sure.

Header from a freekick isn't open play, in my book. Depends which way you interpret a crossed freekick - I'd call it a goal from a set piece.

Definitely did - he put in the cross for Howard's headed goal that made it 3-0.

Fairly staggering stat really. Just chuffed he's back, think he is a massive reason why we're so high in the league.

    what I like is....

he's not flashy just (in the main) efficient and I think he brings the best out of Howard

    Agreed..

Plus he can pass a ball on the floor. You'd think that was a necessary feature of being a footballer, particularly a midfielder, but so many players (including a lot of ours) seem unable to master it.
