Butterield at least works hard, puts the effort in. Anderson strolls about achieving nothing.

Been listening from afar today, but the commentary team slated Anderson. Looked half asleep and gave the ball away whenever he had it. Based upon my previous experience of an ADS off-day, this sounds hghly plausible.

It looked like the didn't really "trust" Butterfield today

Anderson & JCR rarely gave him the ball when he was in a decent position.

Agreed, couple of good touches but generally as inconsitant as ever.

Best excample would be when ball fell in front of him from scuffle in attacking position, to which he stood whilst the defender ran on to clear it.

He's been in the country long enough to work out that he needs to be quicker off the mark.

JCR and DeSilva were prime candiates for half time substitutions today, when they have off days, they often last a full 90 mins!

What killed Anderson today was the lack of width, every time he looked to the wing for a pass there was no one there, so he had to turn back & look for alternatives which made it look like he was slowing the pace of the game, thought the wingers were really poor today, Love him or hate him at least Devaney holds his position out wide & makes himself available.

I agree r.e. Disco, but I still think DeSilva can look lethargic in his reaction to recieving the ball at the best of times.

I'd like to see him being a bit more direct

Far too often he is looking to play the ball wide when he is already in a good shooting position. It happened quite a bit today - and you are correct, the attack fizzled out as a result. He should be weighing in with FAR more goals from open play...

With the skill that he has got he should deffinatley be more of a threat to the opposition, maybe it is the tactics that arent right ?

Takes Anderson too long to pull the trigger. Attacking midfielder he aint. We didn't have a midfielder on the pitch who was able to put one decent quality ball into the box this afternoon.

    I couldn't disagree more.

Anderson covering for Butterfield. As good as Butterfield is with the ball he's shocking without it. If he's going to play consistently this season he needs to learn quick.

    It seems fairly typical here...

to pin the blame on the only player we have who wanted to get the ball down and play, and the only player in the first half who did ANY defensive work properly at all.

If we're classing Anderson as being worse than Kozluk, Hassell, JCR, Hammill, Butterfield, Bogdanovic, etc etc on that showing, then I have no idea what I was watching - because he was a damn sight better than the lot of them.

He was our best player for me

Was at the heart of anything even remotely decent.

    Not at all lazy.
